This summer, the set of The Incredulous was transported by train

The Opera is committed to environmental protection

‘For the first time, two productions from the In [Avignon] festival are using rail freight.’ Télérama

When an opera goes on tour, the question arises of how to transport its sets and technical equipment. While lorries are usually the preferred choice, this summer the Opéra national de Nancy-Lorraine and the Festival d'Avignon opted for the train for The Incredulous!

The aim? To reduce greenhouse gas emissions from touring.

This initiative is part of a broader environmental approach by the Opéra national de Nancy-Lorraine, which you can find out more about by clicking here.
