Last week saw two events to kick off Solidarity Month at the Opera.
- On Friday, a concert with commentary offered a different way to discover music, with Cora Joris and Gaetano Lo Coco: an interactive and accessible format for young people and community groups.
- On Saturday, there was a celebration of music and theatre based on the characters from La Flûte enchantée, with young singers from the Greater Nancy Regional Conservatory conducted by Guillaume Paire. Together with our community partners from the social and medical fields, they prepared, sang and shared a magical moment... and a birthday cake!
800 people attended over the course of a week, coming from all over the region thanks to 35 partner organisations. What a thrill to see such generosity and passion in this new generation of singers!
The festivities continue on Thursday with a concert featuring commentary by Marc Leroy-Calatayud, where senior citizens and people with disabilities will be invited to join the artists on stage.
And this Saturday, a charity concert open to all will be held at the Opera House to benefit the Lorraine Cancer Institute.
