A look back at three new events that took place last week at the Opera House and the Salle Poirel as part of January Solidarity:
- The Solidarity Concert in aid of the fight against cancer welcomed a thousand people, who not only marvelled together but also learned about and took action to support research. Their donations were given to the Lorraine Cancer Institute (ICL). Fifteen volunteer artists performed that evening, with Cora Joris, our Director of Artistic Resources, acting as mediator to shed light on the chamber music programme.
- An intimate insight into the life of the Orchestra with conductor Marc Leroy-Calatayud, Manon Lamaison (soprano), Carole Alonso (piano), Gaspar Hoyos (flute), Catherine Delon-Pierre (violin), Laurent Boulard (cello) and Dany Salazar Ortiz (horn).
- An open rehearsal of Dialogues des Carmélites for guests of our partner associations to discover what goes on behind the scenes.
Thank you to our artists and teams for their commitment to this solidarity programme!
The programme continues on Monday 26 January at 7pm with a solidarity dinner accompanied by music for students in precarious situations, with the support of the Grand Café Foy.
